There are bureaux de change and at least one ATM in each of the three terminals. A bank branch is located in the train station between terminals 2D and 2F.


Post offices can be found in terminals 1 and 2. Wireless internet access is available (free for the first 15 minutes), as is mobile phone rental.


There is a wide choice of bars, cafés and restaurants at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, serving French and international cuisine in all terminals.


There is a good selection of shops of all types in all three terminals, including duty-free shopping and VAT refunds for passengers leaving the EU.


Left luggage service (tel: 01 3438 5890) is available in front of the Sheraton hotel. There are lost and found offices in all the terminals. (tel: 01 4862 1334 or 4816 6383).


Prayer rooms are available. Medical, massage and beauty services are available in terminals 1 and 2. Children’s play areas can be found in Terminal 2.

Conference & Business

There are work areas in terminals 1 and 2 where travellers can also recharge their electronic equipment. Conference and meeting facilities are available at the larger hotels close to and in the terminals – the nearest is the Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel & Conference Centre (tel: 01 4919 7070:, within Terminal 2.

    Transfer between Terminals

    Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are linked by the CDGVAL airport métro line. Shuttles operate to the more distant Terminal 2G.

    Public Transport

    Paris public transport system is operated by RATP (tel: 3246; The 16-line metro covers the centre and is complemented by an extensive bus network. A weekly travel pass for zones 1 and 2 is usually the most cost-effective option. The Vélib’ bike system is another good option with over 1,500 stations across the city. To use a bike you need to open a Vélib’ account, which can be done at any station.


    Taxis can be hailed although it may prove hard and there’s an automatic surcharge. Otherwise pick one up outside one of the major hotels. To order, call Paris’ central taxi switchboard (tel: 01 4530 3030).
