There are banks, which also provide bureau de change services, at various points within the airport complex. Separate bureaux de change kiosks are also available.


There is a post office and nine FASTpoint terminals providing telephone, fax and photocopying facilities. Paid-for wireless internet hotspots are available at several locations throughout the terminal; these provide free internet access for the first 60 minutes of use. In addition, visitors can use fixed internet stations at various points of the complex – the first hour is also free of charge at these points.


A good selection of restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars and takeaway facilities are available in the pre- and post-security areas. Among these are a Swiss chalet-style restaurant and a sports bar in the departures area, and Italian restaurants and eateries serving Asian cuisine in the public area.


There is a large selection of shops at Zurich Airport, including duty-free outlets. The Airport Shopping Centre, one level above check-in area 3, has some good places to browse; while extensive shopping choices can be found landside, including fashion boutiques, newsagents and gift shops.


There is a lost property office in arrivals hall 1. A porter service (tel: 043 816 6707) is on hand to assist passengers with their luggage and trolleys can be used free of charge. There is a left-luggage desk and lockers to stow baggage in Arrivals.


Zurich Airport has a medical and dental centre, pharmacies, prayer rooms and nurseries. Bicycle and baby buggy rental is available. Showers are available both pre- and post-security.

Conference & Business

Fax and photocopy facilities are available in the service centre on the first floor of the P2 car park. There are no conference facilities at Zurich International Airport but several local hotels, including the on-site Radisson Blu Zurich Airport Hotel (tel: 044 800 4455;, offer meeting rooms. A number of lounges in Zurich Airport are available for first- and business-class passengers, as well as customers of particular airlines or holders of lounge-access cards.

    Facilities for the disabled include accessible toilets and telephone booths, ramps and lifts. There are special assistance desks in the departure halls for travellers with particular needs; passengers using this service should report no later than 90 minutes before departures. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should also inform their airline prior to travel.

    Designated parking spaces are available in car parks P1, P2 and P3; but passengers who have pre-registered and have received a permit can park on the kerb opposite the terminal.

    The Service Centre (tel: 043 816 8600) is the main point of contact for all enquiries. Information desks are located in the arrivals halls, at car park 2 and in check-in area 2. FASTpoint terminals, located throughout the airport, provide airport maps, information on shops and restaurants, flight and train schedules, as well as a range of other services.

    Public Transport

    Zurich’s slick system of buses, trams and trains is operated by Zurich Transport Network (tel: 0848 988 988;, with individual tickets (by zone) available to buy from machines at each stop. Day and multi-day passes offer better value for money, while the tourist-centred ZürichCARD includes transport and entry to many museums and attractions across the city, for 24 or 72 hours.


    Cabs can be hailed in the street or at taxi ranks, or booked by phone. Two respectable firms are Taxi 444 (tel: 044 444 4444; and Best Link (tel: 044 215 4473; A compulsory tip is included in the metered fare.
