From central Dresden, follow route B170 north, then join Hermann-Reicheilt-Straße (E40), which leads directly to the airport. There is clear signposting.
The S-Bahn line S2 (tel: 0180 699 6633; www.bahn.de) runs from directly beneath the terminal to Dresden’s two principal stations, Neustadt and the central Hauptbahnhof, thence on to Pirna. Double-decker trains operate every 30 minutes, and journey time to the two main stations is 12 minutes and 20 minutes respectively. The single fare is €2.20.
Bus 77 operates regularly from outside the terminal, connecting with tram line 7 to the city centre at the Infineon-Nord interchange. Total journey time is around 20 minutes, and the single fare is €2.20.
The taxi rank is immediately outside the terminal building (official taxis are cream-coloured). The fare into the city centre costs around €20, and journey time is 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Long and short-term parking is available close to the terminal. There is a petrol station, and electric vehicle charging points are provided.
