    Airport information desks can be found throughout the airport (tel: 90 240 4704 and 91 321 1000), at eight locations in Terminal 1 and five points in Terminal 2 (concourses A and B). Tourist information desks are located in Terminal 1 (tel: 93 378 8175) and Terminal 2 (concourses A and B) (tel: 93 378 8149); there is also a hotel information point in Terminal 2’s B concourse.

    Transfer between Terminals

    A pedestrian walkway links the A, B and C concourses of Terminal 2. A free shuttle bus operates between Terminals 1 and 2, running every four minutes at peak times.

    Bank branches can be found in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2’s B concourse. ATMs and currency exchange services are available throughout Barcelona Airport.


    There is a post office on the ground floor of Terminal 2’s B concourse. Paid-for Wi-Fi hotspots are available at various locations throughout the terminals – the first 15 minutes are free of charge. Mobile phone chargers can be hired.


    There is a large choice of restaurants, cafés and bars in the departure and arrival areas of both terminals. Options range from fast-food outlets to sit-down restaurants and tapas bars.


    There is a wide range of shops in both terminals, including bookshops, newsagents, fashion outlets and retailers selling branded Barcelona Football Club goods. Duty-free shopping (for passengers leaving the EU) is available in both terminals.


    A lost property service (tel: 93 259 6440) is located in Terminal 1. Several other lost and found offices can be found throughout the airport, operated by the various ground handlers. The left-luggage office in the Terminal 1 lobby area can assist with luggage storage.


    Other facilities at Barcelona Airport include a pharmacy, 24-hour medical service, tour operators, travel agents and children’s play areas.

    Conference & Business

    The Air Meetings Business Centre (tel: 90 250 8550; in Terminal 1 contains boardrooms, meeting rooms and a rest area with bedrooms and gym facilities. There are two meeting rooms available for hire (tel: 93 297 1101) in Terminal 2 (concourse B), with telephone, fax, internet and audiovisual equipment. VIP lounges are located post-security in Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 (concourses A and B).

    Barcelona Airport has lifts, ramps, escalators, lowered telephones and dedicated disabled toilets. Reserved parking spaces are available for disabled travellers in the airport car parks.

    Public Transport

    Barcelona’s superb public transport system is operated by TMB ( The integrated ticketing system covers the metro, bus, tram and railway, with tickets available from metro stations, tram stops and some kiosks.
