There is a bank in Terminal 2 and several bureaux de change counters and ATMs throughout both terminals.

Communications

A post office is located in the departures hall of Terminal 1. Free wireless internet is available throughout the terminals. Additional internet access is provided by The Cyber Break Café in the northwest concourse of Terminal 1, while Power Phones for Internet access are also positioned at various points in the terminals and Ground Transportation Centre.

Food

There are more than 150 options for food and drink at Hong Kong International Airport, including fast-food outlets, full-service restaurants and cafés.

Shopping

Shops, including gift retailers, designer boutiques and duty-free outlets, are available in both terminals. There is a 24-hour convenience store in the arrivals hall of Terminal 1. A pre-order and pick-up service for duty-free products is available.

Luggage

Trolleys are available at all passenger drop-off points. A porter service operated by Worldwide Flight Services (tel: 2261 2727) is available at various points, including the baggage reclaim hall and the departures areas.

An excess baggage shipping service (tel: 2769 8681) is available at aisle K, before check-in in Terminal 1. A left-luggage facility (tel: 2261 0110) is situated in the Arrivals hall in Terminal 1.

Lost and found services can be found at the customer service centres on level 5 of Terminal 2, as well as at the airport police report centre and via the help phones.

Hong Kong International Airport is fully accessible for disabled travellers. There are plenty of wheelchair-accessible toilets, lifts, ramps and escalators around the airport and at the Ground Transportation Centre. The terminal shuttle train is also wheelchair-accessible. Escalators and walkways have audio warning signals, while lifts, toilets and telephones have Braille signs. Tactile path guides and induction loops are installed at various points.

Car park spaces reserved for disabled drivers are available in car parks 1 and 4.

Information

The Customer Service Centres, which are open daily from 0530 to midnight, can be found in the departure areas of both terminals. Multimedia booths are located in the arrivals halls, with interactive information and touch-screen maps. There are dozens of 24-hour help phones located throughout the terminal.

Transfer between Terminals

A free automated people mover train runs between the departures area of Terminal 1 to the SkyPier ferry terminal and from Terminal 2 to the gates. Electric vehicles can also transport passengers around the terminals for a fee.
