How to get there
Driving Directions
From central Heraklion, take Leof. Ikarou, which leads directly to the airport, or the federal road toward Ágios Nikólaos. Along coastal highway A90/E75, you can follow the signs to the airport.
Bus
Buses travel between the airport and central Heraklion every 15 minutes. The trip takes about 20 minutes. There are signs pointing the way to the bus stop, which is about 50 meters from the main exits. The central bus station in Heraklion offers further bus connections to destinations such as Chaniá, Rethymno, Ágios Nikólaos, Ierápetra and Sitía.

Taxi stands are located in front of the main terminal.
Car parking
Free short-term public parking for about 500 vehicles is available next to the terminal. Long-term parking is not available.
